Josh Putnam serves as a Senior Wealth Advisor at Legacy Capital, bringing more than 24 years of experience in financial planning and wealth management. He works closely with dentists and other business owners, as well as widows and divorced women navigating significant life changes, helping them gain clarity and confidence in their financial futures.
Josh began his career at Legacy Financial Group in Kansas City in 2001 before joining a boutique 401(k) planning and wealth management firm in 2005, where he was tasked with building a holistic financial planning division. Under his leadership, the division grew to approximately $200 million in assets. He joined Legacy Capital in 2025 to help expand the firm’s 401(k) business and provide comprehensive wealth management services with a focus on dentists and women in mid-life transitions.
Josh earned dual Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Financial Planning and Insurance from Baylor University in 1993. He holds Securities Series 7 and 66 licenses, as well as insurance licenses (Arkansas license pending transfer from Missouri).
Outside of the office, Josh is passionate about mentoring high school, college students, andyoung adults on developing healthy financial habits and building a strong spiritual foundation. He and his wife, Darcie, were married in 1999 and have four children in their early 20’s and late teens—JC, Will, Myles, and Macey Kate—along with their daughter-in-law, Madden. Josh enjoys supporting their church, PTA, and local ministries serving those in need. Fall Saturday’s will find him cheering on the Crimson Tide, a habit he picked up in Mobile, Alabama when he was 8. With the recent move to Northwest Arkansas, Josh is looking forward to being often on the lake with family, friends, and their black lab, Koda, wake surfing and skiing, or fishing on the Northwest Arkansas rivers. In the winter, the Putnam family loves to find some time on the slopes of one of Colorado’s ski resorts.
