Jason Prather serves as a Wealth Advisor at Legacy Capital, where he brings extensive experience in sophisticated tax and estate planning strategies. He advises affluent clients nationwide in the areas of estate and gift tax, wealth transfer, life insurance planning, and tax strategies.

Jason was formerly a partner in the tax section of Fort Worth’s prestigious Cantey & Hanger, LLP law firm. Both as an attorney and financial advisor, he has developed strong relationships with clients’ attorneys and tax advisors, working alongside them to create solutions that address the complex relationship between financial products and the legal structures utilized by wealthy families. Jason joined Legacy Capital in 2003, contributing his deep expertise to the firm’s client services and strategic planning. He has earned recognition for his professional achievements, including multiple qualifications for MDRT’s Top of the Table, which honors the top life insurance advisors worldwide. In 2021, he was also named by Forbes as one of America’s Top 100 Financial Security Professionals in the publication’s inaugural ranking of insurance professionals.

Jason earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Christian University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law, and a Master of Laws (LLM) from Southern Methodist University. He is a non-practicing member of both the Arkansas and Texas Bar Associations and holds multiple securities licenses (Series 7, 63, 65) as well as insurance licenses, including Arkansas (AR Ins. License #255525).

Jason lives in Little Rock with his wife Rosemary.  They are the parents of two adult sons, Jacob and Jackson. Outside of the office, he enjoys traveling, playing golf, and spending quality time with family and close friends.
