DeAnn grew up in central Kansas on the back of a horse or riding in the combine with her Dad in the wheat fields and showing cattle in the 4-H fair. Growing up on the farm taught her the value of hard work and responsibility. Morning and afternoon chores, feeding the cattle and gathering the eggs were the daily routine. She is the youngest of four children and has memories of painting the silver pipe fencing with her brother and two sisters, using tube socks instead of paint brushes. Teamwork and sweat equity were taught at a young age and they were all part of the family farm together. Her parents were not only the epitome of a great team, but also servant leadership at home, at church and the community. When she was 14 years old, her parents had an opportunity to sell the family farm in Kansas and move to Northwest Arkansas where she finished high school and graduated from John Brown University, majoring in business and accounting.
After working for a local CPA office for a few years after college, DeAnn went to work for Arvest Financial Planning department as a financial planner. The man that hired her in 1992 became her mentor and showed her how to best serve clients until his retirement in 2012. During those years, she learned to love all that number crunching and thrived on helping clients reach the goals the financial plans laid out. After about 10 years at Arvest, the Financial Planning department evolved into Private Wealth Management. DeAnn received the CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) designation in 2000 and also holds Series 7, Series 65, and insurance licenses.
DeAnn appreciates each client relationship and works hard to make their experience as streamlined as possible. Her goal is to be the first phone call our clients make when they have any financial need.
DeAnn is married to Nick, who owns two local outdoor sporting goods stores, and has three grown, married children and three grandchildren. She adores her family, but wishes her grandchildren lived closer than North Carolina. Nick and DeAnn, also known as Lolli and Pops, have learned to love flying and travelling, and are very grateful for the direct flight from Northwest Arkansas to Charlotte, NC.
